Textile stamps are used throughout Asia to decorate fabric with imprinted ink designs. The stamp used for this pendant was carved out of pear wood. Although a lot of these wood stamps are old, many are from the 1930's to the 60's, they are difficult to date. They make great textured imprints for clay and I love using them to make pendants.
